BrewHouse Beer Kits

The Brewhouse Kit is an entirely new concept in homebrewing. Until now, most homemade beer has been made with concentrated malt extract syrup. The Brewhouse Kit produces all-grain microbrew style beer with the convenience of a kit. Brewed from fresh grain and hops, it is pure all-grain wort, made the same way as commercial microbrewed beers. Gentle handling preserves the delicate aromas and flavours. Crisp Pilsner, rich pale ale, malty Munich dark lager, full flavoured cream ale, luscious stout and even an incredibly light North American lager all show brilliant character.

Fresh grains make fresh beer: The Brew House Kit is made from 100% grain. The grains are cracked just before brewing and gently steeped in water at our custom designed German-style brew house. After the sweet wort is drawn off, it’s carefully boiled with generous amounts of hops. Then, without adding water or concentrate, we aseptically package it for maximum flavour and aroma. With our technology, we have total control over every step of the brewing process; we can even do Czech-style decoction mashing, the most technically demanding brewing in the world.

Our styles are the real microbrew-style McCoy. Sweated over by two certified beer judges—both experienced prize-winning homebrewers—and a German Quality Control scientist, these kits are as close to the described style as possible. They conform to the definitions laid out by the authorities: namely Michael Jackson and the American Homebrewers Association.

The Brew House production plant

1.American Premium Lager tastes like beer of 1950′s North America: flavourful and smooth, with a light refreshing finish.

2.Pilsner is a premium Czech-style lager, grainy with a crisp, hoppy finish.

3.Cream Ale is a true West Coast Style Beer with darker colour and fuller flavour.

4.The Pale Ale is a Pacific Northwest version of the style: assertive bitterness and resiny-piney Cascade hops.

5.Munich Dark Lager is creamy-roasty, smooth and rich; a great German dark lager.

6.Our Stout is dark and rich, with bold roasty flwvours, smooth bitterness, hints of chocolate and an espresso-like finish.

7.The Mexican Cerveza is modelled after the classic beers of Mexico, clean, crisp and light

The finished beers taste very close to microbrewed equivalents—if those equivalents are well made!

Remember, the best beer is always the one you made yourself.

Muntons Premium & Gold Beer Kits

Many years ago – centuries in fact – it was discovered that the way to brew the best ales and beers was to use only malt, hops, water and yeast in the brewing process. In the 15th Century in Germany this was taken a stage further with the introduction of the “Reinheitsgebot” – a law prohibiting the use of any ingredients in the brewing process other than these raw materials.

This law stood until only a few years ago when the EEC over-ruled the “Reinheitsgebot” which they considered to be a barrier to free-trade within Europe! In spite of this the breweries have refused to change their recipes and still brew using only the four magic ingredients – their customers would not be satisfied with anything less, they tell us.

Traditional English ales were brewed originally without hops but tastes change once hops from the Continent were introduced keeping the ale fresh for longer. Beer drinkers gradually developed a taste for the new “hopped ales” and in the 15th Century the modern tasting English ale was borne. More recently, economic pressure has forced many breweries to introduce cheaper adjuncts into the brewing process. Purists will argue however that the beer quality has suffered because of this and that it is far better to stick to the traditional practices. We at Muntons agree, which is why the Gold Range was developed, a range designed simply to make great beer.

As a commercial malster supplying breweries all over the world, we are in an ideal position to appreciate the quality and styles of malt needed to make the best beers. We have put our knowledge to good use and formulated what we believe to be the best beer kits available anywhere today – with a possible exception of Muntons Premium Gold! Made using only malt, hops, water and yeast, balanced to brew superb beers, modelled on the finest tradition of brewers art.  We presently also carry the Barley Wine ‘Beer Kit’ from Muntons. Cheers!

Morgans Beer Kits from Australia

Our Beer Kit Enhancer contains 1kg of a blend of spray dried dextrose and spray dried malt extract which is simply added in place of sugar to any beer kit. Spray dried dextrose contains simple sugars which will encourage a very rapid start to fermentation ensuring little opportunity for any contamination at the vulnerable start of the brewing process. The spray malt portion of the Beer Kit Enhancer will improve head formation and head retention, overall flavour and increase the resultant body of the beer, making your beer more like the commercial equivalent. Muntons Beer Kit Enhancer is simple to use. Just follow the instructions provided on your beer kit substituting Muntons Beer Kit Enhancer where sugar is used in the original recipe. For simplicity, it is better to add the enhancer to the fermenter at the same time as the beer kit ingredients are being added and before the addition of any hot or cold water. Try the new Beer Kit Enhancer and you will be amazed at the improvement in your final beer.
